No, only the American Heart Association can issue their card. They are a private company just like we are. We are competitors, as is the Red Cross. We all teach by the guidelines set forth by Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) and the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR). I have been an American Heart Association instructor for 28 years, so I teach to AHA standards and designed this course to follow all their guidelines.
